The Spooky side of CAPE MAY, NJ: and a Night at the Haunted Southern Mansion

‪@the_ghost_tourist‬ visits Cape May, New Jersey, a charming Victorian seaside getaway, and seeks out all the ghostly happenings at local bars, restaurants, and hotels. If you love ghost stories and history (like me!) then you've come to the right place. If you're looking for a haunted hotel I highly recommend The Southern Mansion, where I stayed for the weekend. It's absolutely beautiful, the beds are comfy, and it's haunted by Ester, a former owner who still prefers to be an attentive hostess. Runner up the Congress Hall Hotel (recommend this place if you want dining/bar options in hotel, Southern Mansion is breakfast only). Did I think the Southern Mansion was haunted? HIGHLY LIKELY. Link here to book a stay at The Southern Mansion: https://www.southernmansion.com For dining options of the haunted variety try The Ebbitt Room at the Virginia Hotel for dinner, and The Mad Batter next door for breakfast. The Ugly Mug is a lively spirited pub, or try the cocktails at Elaine's Cape May. (Not haunted but so delicious it may haunt your dreams, I also recommend a visit to the Willow Creek Winery). And if you'd love to learn more about the town I always recommend taking a local ghost tour, or wander over to The Emelyn Physick Estate to learn about spiritualism in the Victorian period. Comment with any questions about Cape May and I'll do my best to answer them.
