Hi, everyone. I'm Evangeline here at etrailer and we're taking a look at a bunch of different Thule Hullavator replacement parts. The one we're specifically talking about today though, is the replacement underbar bracket for your Thule Hullavator and Hullavator Pro. So this is going to be the piece that allows you, along with other components, to secure your Hullavator to your smaller round, or square crossbars. If you are looking to replace your entire mounting assembly, it happens sometimes. Maybe your mounting assembly got damaged or lost. Maybe you received a Thule Hullavator as a gift from someone else and they forgot to give you an assembly and now you have to make one from scratch. This is gonna be one of the parts for you. So I'm gonna show you how this works with all the other components so that you can see if you need to replace just this or if you need to get the other components from here at etrailer as well. I have all the other little pieces that I need to put together my bar assembly. So here we have our bar assembly, and here we have our underbar bracket. This is gonna fit into the slot right here in our bar assembly, and it's gonna go through that until we can line it up with the hole on the other side. To secure that to the hole, I have our carriage bolt. This is gonna go right over there and will fit into that square hole. And then to secure that carriage bolt, I then have a flat washer as well as a nut, and that's gonna go on top. To tighten that all down, you are then going to use your Allen key to secure it all. So this is gonna be a 5 mm Allen key, usually included with your kit. Now, notice with that's still kind of loose. We have that opening underneath. So imagine if you had a round or square bar. That is going to fit through that opening. And then once you have this whole system on your roof, you then cover it all with this cover that you can also find here at etrailer. So you can see here how that underbar bracket isn't that big. So if you do have a larger crossbar, maybe an HD bar or some of your arrow bars, this might not fit for you and you might prefer using a T track adapter plate instead. Hopefully, this video helped explain where that replacement bracket fits within the entire system. Another common question I get too is, "What are the dimensions of that underbar bracket and will this fit my other crossbars" Well, the thing is, this is specifically designed for the Thule square bars. In fact, Thule even includes an angled end cap that you attach onto your crossbars. That makes a lot more sense with this system. That end cap is not to be used with, let's say, Yakima round bars, but this assembly still works with round bars if that is the case. So for the dimensions on the inside, that's gonna be 1 1/2 inches for width for your square bar, and it's gonna be about the same for height, will work with most square and most round bars. But again, if you have a more modern roof rack and a more modern crossbar, especially one with channels and T tracks in it, you will benefit a lot more from using the T track-mounted bracket instead. I also think it's an easier setup that way, but it's totally up to you.
