Anyone who studies biology has a green thumb, spends all their time in a lab and knows the formula for photosynthesis inside out. We asked students at the Faculty of Biology to find out whether this is really the case. They also reveal which microbes they like best, what the strangest product of evolution is, and how disgusting the study of biology really is. Studying Biology at TU Dresden: The Faculty of Biology offers a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBBT) and two Master's degrees in Biology in Society and Molecular Biosciences and Productive Biosystems, as well as participating in a third, Organismic and Molecular Biodiversity. The Molecular Biology and Biotechnology degree program combines biological and biotechnological fundamentals with practical in-depth studies, experimental work, and critical observation – for optimal qualification in both academic careers and in preparation for a wide range of professional tasks.
