Dad’s Sunday Sauce | A Slow-Simmered Sicilian Family Recipe

In this video I’m sharing the way I learned to make Sunday sauce growing up — a simple Sicilian red sauce that slowly simmers on the stove and fills the whole kitchen with the smell of tomatoes, garlic, and herbs. When I was a little girl, my dad would have a giant pot of sauce simmering all afternoon. Years later, when I had my own place, I started making a smaller pot for myself on Sundays — sometimes with friends, sometimes just with a loaf of crusty bread and a glass of Chianti.
