King Edward III-Queen Philippa Plantagenet Dynasty

We examine the real faces of England's greatest kings, Edward III who was king of England from 1327 - 1377, and led England into the Hundred Years’ War with France. The descendants of his seven sons and five daughters contested and claimed the throne for generations, climaxing in the Wars of the Roses 1455–85. In this clip we also look for the first time the face of his wife and Queen of England, Philippa of Hainault, who proved to be a good and able queen who worked tirelessly for the crown, in troubling times.
