Mycelium Storytelling Hub | Hwb Chwedleua Myseliwm: Ysgol Llanfyllin 2023

Over the last few weeks our Mycelium Storytelling Hub Producer Rhian Davies, and Contemporary Cyfarwydd, Jo Munton have been working with Ysgol Llanfyllin in mid Wales, bringing together first language Welsh and English drama students through a creative storytelling project. The aim of the project has been to help bring the students together, for young people to understand and learn more about the art of storytelling and to create something special for their community to see using a local story connected to the area they live. Watch this short 2 minute documentary video and see the joy coming from the school hall as they create their own version of a well known local story. Beyond the Border – Wales’ International Storytelling Festival together with partners from the National Eisteddfod, Menter Iaith, People Speak Up, Citrus Arts, Head4Arts and Theatre Soar are working together in an exciting new collaboration to ensure the future of the storytelling sector in Wales, with funding from the Arts Council of Wales’ Connect and Flourish fund.
