Visa Fee: 💵 USD 30 Cash If paying by card: • Bring your physical card • Know your card PIN/password Please verify current visa requirements before travel as policies may change. 📶 SIM CARD & INTERNET WiFi quality varies across Egypt, even in some higher-end establishments. Recommended providers: • E& Egypt (Etisalat Misr) • Vodafone Egypt • Orange Egypt Our E& Egypt tourist package cost: 506 EGP (approx. AED 38) Highly recommended for maps, ride-hailing apps, bookings, and social media. 🚕 TRANSPORTATION Available: • Uber • inDrive • Public Transportation We mainly used Uber. Important: • Apple Pay was not available for us • Add your card manually inDrive accepts both cash and card payments. Tip: Use card payments whenever possible to avoid fare misunderstandings. If you have trusted local contacts, even better. 🏨 HOTEL BOOKINGS We used Booking.com. 📍 Giza Area Pros: • Affordable • Close to the pyramids Cons: • 30–45 minutes from central Cairo 📍 Zamalek / Maadi / Downtown Cairo Pros: • Walkable • More restaurants and cafés • Easier access to attractions Tips: ✔ Read reviews carefully ✔ Check recent guest photos ✔ Consider breakfast-included options 🏛️ GRAND EGYPTIAN MUSEUM (GEM) One of Egypt’s must-visit attractions. We recommend purchasing tickets only after arriving at your hotel to avoid issues from flight or immigration delays. Select: “Other Nationalities” Ticket Price: 1600 EGP (approx. AED 120) 🏜️ PYRAMIDS OF GIZA Operating Hours: • Opens around 7:00 AM • Closing time varies by season (approximately 4 PM–6 PM) Ticket Prices: • General Admission: 700 EGP (approx. AED 52) • Great Pyramid Entry: 1,500 EGP (approx. AED 112) Important: Purchase tickets only on the day of your visit. 🚍 Free shuttle buses are available within the complex, including routes to the Panoramic Viewpoint and around the Giza Plateau.
