Fugi (Fugitive) who was part of the management took the name Rude FM and set up on the 88.2FM dial taking many of the DJs and MCs, whilst Chillem and Lady Syras continued to manage the newly styled Ruud Awakening FM on 104.3. It continued to have some of the old guard but attracted new MCs and DJs to the station. It is fair to say 104.3 got the better end of the deal because they kept the dial and their connection to rave nights like Desire which were run by 2000AD Productions. Also running their own rave night 'Ruud Nation' @The Dungeons (Lea Bridge Rd) on Sat 28th Jun 2001. They also hosted Arena 4 of "One Nation" @Brixton Academy, on Sat 7th Sept 2002.
