COMAC C919 | Claim for the future

COMAC C919 is a medium-haul narrow-body airliner created by the Chinese Comac corporation in the mid-2010s. The C919 is one of the largest aviation programs in China's history and their largest serial production civil aircraft. Despite the fact that, at first glance, the C919 seems to be quite a classic modern medium-haul airliner, the project is initially being implemented with an eye on the Chinese and developing countries markets and is being implemented withing an unusual concept, which, according to plans, should allow it to compete with the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 airliners. The task of creating an aircraft capable of operating successfully in the most competitive market is very ambitious and difficult. The implementation was also not simple and stretched considerably in time. But, despite all the difficulties, it looks like the C919 is ready. In 2022, the aircraft is about to complete the certification program and start operation. At the first stage, it is planned that the C919 will occupy a significant niche in the regional and medium-haul transportation market in China. So, most of its customers are Chinese airlines and lessors. In the future, according to COMAC's plans, their offspring should enter the world market and win its niche, competing Boeing and Airbus.
