NHS Prize Giving Day 2026 attended by Hon. Julius Migos Ogamba, EBS, and Hon. Rebecca Miano, EGH

The Great Nyandarua High School Stakeholders and NSOSA came together to celebrate 61 Years of Nyandarua High School. The NHS Prize Giving Day 2026 was attended by Hon. Julius Migos Ogamba, EBS, and Hon. Rebecca Miano, EGH alongside other distinguished leaders and dignitaries, reaffirming the government’s commitment to academic excellence and quality education. Leaders have commended Nyandarua High School for its outstanding academic performance and role in shaping disciplined and responsible learners during the 2026 Education Day celebrations held on 25th May. The event also brought together State Department of Roads Principal Secretary Joseph Mbugua, Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos, and Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano, who joined students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders in celebrating the school’s achievements. Speaking during the occasion, Mbugua described Nyandarua High School as a unique institution, noting that it is the only mixed national secondary school in Kenya.He graced Nyandarua High School Education Day 2026 in honour of the institution’s stellar performance in last year’s national exams. He said the institution provides students with an environment that reflects real-life experiences where teamwork, professionalism, mutual respect, and healthy competition are essential. The Principal Secretary challenged students to pursue excellence both in academics and personal character, emphasizing that discipline, integrity, and resilience are key pillars for success in life. He also shared a personal story, revealing that he once wished to study at the prestigious institution but never got the chance. He encouraged learners to value the opportunity of studying at Nyandarua High School and take full advantage of the resources and exposure available to them. Mbugua further assured the school community of the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure around the institution, particularly road networks. He said plans are underway to ensure roads leading to the school remain accessible throughout the year to support smooth transport and create a better learning environment for students and staff. The leaders praised the school administration, teachers, and students for maintaining high standards and urged them to continue working together to uphold the institution’s strong reputation in the education.
