These mixed breed dogs are often given specific names, but keep in mind that they are not a separate dog breed. Morkie dogs take on the temperament of both Yorkies and Maltese. They are bold, energetic little dogs. They are also highly intelligent and easy to train, but can be difficult to housebreak. They are sometimes suspicious of strangers and can serve as a good watchdog.
