Elements of the Ukrainian army moves into position to check the enemy advance and hold them around the river. The fields of once bountiful harvests now burned and scorched under heavy artillery bombardment, tank explosions, and airstrikes as the Russian war machines sends waves upon waves of T80s in columns into the towns around the field. Carefully the Ukrainians lay traps for the enemy and holds key positions, culminating in the final push, to drive the enemy back to where they came. ---------------------------- 💭 Thoughts: This was a pretty fun game to be had using the russian deck in broken arrow, our forces quickly pushed up and take critical positions and defend against the constant enemy assault. With cover severely limited by the number of thin treelines available and plenty of open fields to deny any form of cover, taking key positions helped served as a launching point for our counter-attack into the enemy positions. Enemy players utilizes some old and inefficient tactics such as charging their tanks in a neat single column, assaulting objectives without any cover, and diving airdrop units where they're vulnerable to enemy SAMS. Whereas our units employs carefully planned strategies to flank, evade, and surround the enemy while utilizing smoke as cover to advance our units into positions. A fun game nonetheless, one much to learn from.
