Continuation of the part one, I bought all the required components and got to building. The main purpose of this box is to act as external storage for my plotter. Bill of materials: 2 x Supermicro AOM-SAS3-8I8E-LP (SFF-8643 to SFF-8644 passthrough) 1 x Adaptec 2283400-R (expander) 1 x LSI SAS9300-8E (SAS HBA) 4 x 50cm SFF-8643 (cables) 4 x 1m SFF-8644 to SFF-8088 (cables, need shorter cables for this) 4 x "T" wire splicing connectors (generic) 1 x 50cm Molex (cable) Build time: About 30 minutes.
