Choral Consortium of San Diego presents Across the Americas, a celebration of the music, cultures, and traditions of North, Central, and South America. Dilworth DOS CUERPOS Lyrics by Octavio Paz Music by Julio Morales Conducted by Tomás Acosta, an accomplished choral director, educator, and vocal coach whose work bridges communities throughout Southern California and Baja California. Across the Americas is the culminating performance of the Choral Consortium of San Diego's annual Summer Chorus program, which brings together singers from across Southern California and Tijuana for an intensive summer choral experience. In just a few short weeks, singers from many different ensembles come together to learn new music, build lasting friendships, and strengthen connections throughout our regional choral community. This year's chorus has 60 singers representing 30 different choruses. The concert will also featured special guest ensemble Baja Vocalis, directed by Iván Mares.
