Roland MX-1: 10 Years Later

The Roland MX-1 has defined my sound for over a decade. This is my love letter to the amazing Roland MX-1 Mix Performer Since it was first announced I was completely sold and in love with the Roland MX-1 Mixer. I was already a big Roland AIRA user owning all 3 units, and the TR-8, TB-3, and System-8 were all waiting to be combined into one cohesive system... ENTER THE MX-1 The MX-1 does things no other mixer can do; it slices, it dices, it sorts your mail! But for real it has some super interesting features and makes the mixing experience more like learning another instrument than simple levels and EQ. Today we are taking a look at some of my favourite features and maybe a few issues I've had to overcome when using the Roland MX-1 over the last few years. I've got my OG TR-8 and TB-03 connected to the AIRA-link ports so we can jam a bit and see how it all works together. With the non-stop avalanche of TR-1000 videos, here's something a little different for you to watch tonight!
