#61 Cutting Glass With A Wet Saw

This is a quick video showing my favorite wet saw & blade and I cut some slices of a pattern bar. It shows the tools I use to keep my blade cool, clean & sharp. This was 2 much longer videos (filmed at different times) for a video class on making Kaleidoscope Pattern Bars. I have put them together & edited them way down for YouTube. If you want to see more on the technique of making Kaleidoscope Pattern Bars visit www.ARTiFILL.com or www.GlassPatterns.com. Examples of the Kaleidoscope Pattern Bar technique can be seen on my Facebook page & Instagram page, Susan McGarry Glass.    • Kaleidoscope Pattern Bar Adventure   ******************************************************* ALSO watch the latest video on wet saws here:    • #76 There's a New Blade In Town   I found this blade at the 2019 Glass Craft & Bead Expo in Las Vegas from... www.HisGlassworks.com SKU #23-4677W 7" x .030 inch Diamond Blade. The Diamond Blades are a medium grit sintered diamond blade that gives quick cutting power with a minimum of edge chipping from the blade. The thinner core make this an excellent choice for cutting precious material or expensive material like glass. Be sure to get a "dressing stick" to keep your blade sharp & cutting awesome. ******************************************************** The blade I use is a 7" sintered blade with dressing stick from North Jersey Diamond Wheel. They don't sell direct to customer so you can find it at www.ARTiFILL.com. Use code YOUTUBE for a 10% discount on the blade! https://www.etsy.com/shop/ARTiFILL?co... The saw I use is the QEP from Amazon or Home Depot. It's powerful & quieter than the larger saws and it's under $100. I use mine ALOT and it seems to last forever. (It comes with all the usual accessories like a fence but I never use them) The Loc-y-kit is from HisGlassworks.com. I'm using the Loc-Line Double Line Kit on my saw. I have a special setup for my saw to keep the water where it's supposed to be but not recirculating the dirty warm/hot water. I assume most people won't read this description and if they do they won't read down this far BUT if you're still reading and want to see my setup, comment below. If I get enough requests I will do a video of my setup. Thanks for watching! www.ARTiFILL.com www.Facebook.com/ARTiFILL www.Facebook.com/SusanMcGarryGlass www.Instagram.com/SusanMcGarryGlass
