Pakistan’s one of the highest head hydel project being developed in beautiful valley of Kaghan under CPEC. 🔥 SUBSCRIBE FOR DAILY VIDS ► https://bit.ly/3wknjYm |★ Project is located on the Kunhar River in Mansehra area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province in the northwestern part of Pakistan, which is a long-tunnel diversion-type hydropower. The power station main buildings are comprised of dam, spillway, water intake, headrace tunnel, surge shaft, penstock, Underground Powerhouse and tailrace tunnel etc. The powerhouse and outlet of tailrace tunnel is located near village Paras, and it is nearly 35km away from the dam site. Due to the tight schedule and “Early Harvest” project of CPEC the construction activities were not stopped even during Pandemic. As evident from the comparison of last year and current visuals, the major structure works are erected and ready to divert the river route third time. The successful cut of the Kunhar River's main riverbed with the river being diverted to spillway is to create free-from-water working areas for construction of concrete dam of the power station under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), located in the Mansehra district of KPK. With a total investment of about $1.96 billion, the project started construction in January of 2017, and is expected to be completed in December, 2022.
