SECTION. presents François X, the Parisian techno architect, steps into our space for a session that showcases exactly why he's been pivotal to France's underground renaissance over the past decade. François X doesn't just play techno - he builds entire narratives through it, blending high-velocity club energy with cinematic textures and a deep respect for electronic heritage. His journey started in Paris record stores, where he met DJ Deep and convinced him to release his first three EPs on Deeply Rooted House. From there he launched DEMENT3D in 2011, a label Resident Advisor called "a key cog in the French music renaissance," and secured a residency at the legendary Concrete that defined his ability to control a room across four-hour sets. He's released on Marcel Dettmann Records, dropped his debut album Irregular Passion to critical acclaim, and become a regular at Berghain, proving his sound translates from Paris basements to Berlin's most unforgiving dancefloor. In 2021 he launched XX LAB, a platform for avant-garde electronic music that reflects his refusal to be boxed in as just "a techno guy." His sets channel obscure 90s acid alongside forward-thinking productions, creating something utopian, moody, and always moving forward.
