Mexico City – The Public Security Secretariat presented nine individuals allegedly linked to the Sinaloa Cartel at a press conference. The Federal Police arrested eight men and one woman who allegedly served as hitmen and kidnappers for the Sinaloa Cartel in Nayarit, reported Luis Cárdenas Palomino, Head of the Regional Security Division of the agency. The nine suspects were arrested after killing two officers of the agency, the commander added. At the press conference, Cárdenas Palomino stated that the two Federal Police officers were killed on Saturday while investigating a citizen's report of armed individuals at a residence in the Jardines del Valle neighborhood, in the municipality of Xalisco.
