사마르칸트에서 부하라로 가는 일반 열차(우즈베키스탄여행)

"I am cheering for the Uzbekistan national team participating in the 2026 World Cup." Today's itinerary involves traveling from Samarkand to Bukhara. The plan is to have a simple breakfast at the hotel in the morning before departing. I called a taxi to Samarkand Train Station using the Yandex app. On the way, the morning scenery of Registan Square visible through the car window... Our family headed to the station, promising ourselves that we might be able to visit this place again someday. As we rode in the taxi, Park Seo-young looked forward to seeing the pretty cafes in Bukhara. As we passed by, we also saw many construction sites in Uzbekistan, which is currently experiencing rapid economic growth. And then we came across the trams of Samarkand. And so, we arrived at Samarkand Train Station... I sketched the square and the surroundings. The Korean-speaking taxi driver we met on the day of our arrival was nowhere to be seen today... As we went through security and entered the waiting room, I noticed that the waiting room at Samarkand Station was well-equipped with facilities for simple coffee and meals. A cup of iced Americano costs about 2,500 Korean won, which is roughly 60–70% of the cost of living in Korea. The prices were not particularly cheap. Then followed the view of the Samarkand Station platform and the process of boarding the train. For reference, the distance from Samarkand to Bukhara is about 250 kilometers. Since there isn't a significant difference in travel time between the Afrosiob high-speed train and the regular train, our family bought tickets for the cheaper regular train. The price was around 10,000 Korean won, which is much cheaper than the high-speed train, and you can easily make reservations in advance using an app from Korea. However, regular trains do experience slight delays. The train stops at every station, and since the crew has to personally oversee the entire process of passengers getting on and off, as well as check tickets individually, delays might be inevitable. However, the train's interior facilities were cleaner than expected, and the restrooms and the spaces between carriages were also tidy. Also, if you bring your own cup noodles, you can use the hot water, which would be convenient to use during your trip. Satisfied with the facilities of the standard Uzbekistani train that I had sketched out, I gazed out the window at the endless, dry lands of the steppe climate; the ground grew increasingly dry, and deserts began to come into view. As I admired the horizons and rural scenery, I soon arrived at Bukhara Station. Taxi drivers began aggressive soliciting right from the entrance, but the intensity was weaker compared to taxi touting in other countries, so there was no need to worry too much. I then sketched the process of hailing a taxi using the Yandex app, along with the scenery of Bukhara Station. And so, our group took a taxi to downtown Bukhara while listening to local Uzbek music...
