Hitler's FORGOTTEN Island Fortress on Alderney | History Traveler Episode 437

After the Germans occupied the Channel Islands in the summer of 1940, a massive fortification program began that would end up consuming 10% of the concrete on the Atlantic Wall. What became the most heavily fortified island per square mile was Alderney. We're taking a boat ride to this island to explore some of the fascinating history associated with it during WWII.
