Electricity Crisis | സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് വൈദ്യുതി ലഭ്യതയിലുണ്ടായ വൻ കുറവും ആഭ്യന്തര ഉത്പാദനത്തിലെ പ്രതിസന്ധിയുമാണ് രാത്രികാല വൈദ്യുതി നിയന്ത്രണത്തിന് കാരണമാകുന്നതെന്ന് കെഎസ്ഇബി . പ്രതിദിനം ഏകദേശം 900 മെഗാവാട്ട് വൈദ്യുതിയുടെ കുറവാണ് കെ.എസ്.ഇ.ബി നിലവിൽ നേരിടുന്നത്. വേനൽക്കാലത്തെ കടുത്ത ക്ഷാമം പരിഹരിക്കാനായി മാർച്ച്, ഏപ്രിൽ മാസങ്ങളിൽ മറ്റ് വടക്കേ ഇന്ത്യൻ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് 'സ്വാപ്പ്' കരാർ പ്രകാരം കേരളം വൈദ്യുതി വാങ്ങിയിരുന്നു. ഈ കരാർ അനുസരിച്ച് ജൂൺ 15 മുതൽ 400 മുതൽ 600 മെഗാവാട്ട് വൈദ്യുതി വരെ തിരികെ നൽകിത്തുടങ്ങേണ്ടി വന്നതാണ് നിലവിലെ പ്രതിസന്ധി ഇരട്ടിയാക്കിയത്.
