African Diaspora Global Network criticises Ramaphosa’s immigration address
Vusumuzi Sibanda, chairperson of the African Diaspora Global Network, says President Cyril Ramaphosa failed to adequately address the role of neighbouring countries in the ongoing immigration crisis. Sibanda argues that immigration challenges cannot be viewed in isolation. They require greater engagement with regional countries, to address the root causes driving people to seek opportunities and safety in South Africa.
