130 Year Old Piano Rebuild - Part 1 - 1890 Ivers & Pond
This is part one in a series I plan to make following the restoration of my 130 year old Ivers & Pond upright piano. This piano was built in 1890, and I acquired this piano with the intent of restoring its playing condition. The plan is to rebuild it and give it it an overall refurbishment with hope that it will become an heirloom family piano. I have two daughters who are both taking piano lessons and love to play. We currently have a spinet piano, and the plan is for this piano to replace the spinet as our family piano once it is ready. I'm not a piano technician or skilled piano restorer. But, I would consider my self a maker and a tinkerer, and I feel confident that I can tackle the project. With this video series, you can follow along with me as I work through this project.
