Polar Lights 1/350 Scale Enterprise Refit Buildup PT 13 - Aztec's and The Deflector
From TrekWorks Welcome, In this segment I've resumed working on the aztec panels. I have worked out a good method using water only and just painting a few panels at a time so the mask does not begin to bond permanently. I am moving along very well with them now. Next I did some testing of the Tenacontrols deflector effect board. It only took a few minutes to solder it up and then I mounted the bipolar LED included with the kit in the deflector housing. I'm very pleased with with how it looks and works. The grey paint I applied on the dish lens worked great and diffused the light just right. It glows perfect with now glare on the eyes when looking at it. In the next video of the series I will be testing the photon firing effect board also from Tenacontrols and starting on some of the assembly work. Meanwhile, I'll be masking aztecs....
