DCS570 was dead. I fixed the switch. Then it was Still Dead...

DeWalt DCS570 circular saw completely dead, only the LED was on. Replaced the switch. It still wouldn't start. Turned out a second fault was hiding on the PCB, soldered directly to the brushless motor. This DCS570 came in with no response beyond a power LED. The switch showed signs of burning and contamination, so that went first, but after the fix, nothing changed. Opening the PCB module revealed why : a large SMD MOSFET had failed on the board controlling the brushless motor. DeWalt's resin protection came off cleanly with isopropyl alcohol, which made access straightforward.
