Working with Palette Knives with Artist Mike Rooney

In this video, NC Artist Mike Rooney gives us a mini lesson on working with palette knives. Mike suggests using a knife the same size as the shape you are working in. Start at the edges of the space you are trying to fill and work towards the middle. Also, when mixing colors together you can get a great marbleized effect. Another trick is to remember to turn your knife in different directions to get it to do what you want it to. Mike likens this to frosting a cake.
