Inauguration of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) Laboratory at ACE Ambala | 15 January 2026

A significant milestone in technological education, innovation, and entrepreneurship is set to be achieved at Ambala College of Engineering & Applied Research (ACE), Ambala Cantt., with the inauguration of the Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) Laboratory on 15 January 2026. The laboratory is being established under the aegis of the Entrepreneurship Development and Incubation Council (EPIC) at ACE in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS). This state-of-the-art facility is designed to provide students, researchers, innovators, and industry professionals with hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technologies that integrate the physical and digital worlds. The CPS Laboratory will be inaugurated by Shri Sanjeev Chawla, Additional Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Karnal. The event will be graced by the presence of Shri Nalini Kant Gupta, Chairman, ACE Ambala; Dr. Ashawant Gupta, Director, ACE Ambala; Shri Rama Kant, Director, EPIC; Dr. Radhika Trikha, Chief Executive Officer, Technology Innovation Foundation Aavishkar (AWaDH), IIT Ropar; Group Captain C. S. Sharma (Retd.), Registrar, ACE Ambala; and Dr. Meenu Rani, Head, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, along with faculty members, students, innovators, entrepreneurs, and distinguished guests. The establishment of the Cyber-Physical Systems Laboratory aims to equip students and young professionals with knowledge and practical skills in emerging technologies, enabling them to analyze real-time physical data, make informed decisions, and develop intelligent solutions for real-world challenges. The facility will serve as a vibrant platform for research, innovation, product development, entrepreneurship, and industry-academia collaboration. The laboratory will support learning and experimentation in areas such as Internet of Things (IoT), Embedded Systems, Smart Manufacturing, Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Industry 4.0, Robotics, and Intelligent Cyber-Physical Networks. It will empower students to transform innovative ideas into practical solutions while fostering a culture of technological excellence and entrepreneurship. ACE has already established a Basic Semiconductor Laboratory on its campus, and the addition of the CPS Laboratory further strengthens the institution's commitment to providing advanced technological infrastructure and industry-oriented learning opportunities. This initiative represents an important step towards strengthening the synergy between education, research, innovation, and industry, while contributing to the development of a highly skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of the rapidly evolving digital economy.
