Rebuilding a Jacob’s Chuck and prepping gears. Part 4 for Blacksmith Post Drill Restoration Project.

This video also has some paint and preparation of the gears in the first part of this 25 minute video. In the second part of this video, starting at about the 7:33 time stamp, I rebuild the Jacob’s Chuck that came on the Post Drill. It was my first time disassembling a chuck, in hindsight, I would’ve gone to the press sooner to separate the halves, versus spending the time to try and clean out the rust and gunk that was in the chuck.
