Getting Started with Food Storage
A special guest on our channel discusses how to get started with food storage using a very simple plan that anyone can use and understand. Developed and adapted for over 45 years, this plan uses your family's favorite meals to build into a 12 month store of everything you need to sustain life in emergency situations that may last up to a year. Not shown in the video are several methods of off-grid cooking and baking that will be forthcoming in another video. Cindy's Recipes are posted below! Caramel Corn Pop and set aside 2 very large bowls of popcorn; lightly salt. In saucepan on stove top on medium/low heat: ½ c. butter (one stick) 1 c. white Karo syrup 2 ¼ cups brown sugar Bring to a boil. Add 1 can sweetened condensed milk. Cook over low to medium heat, stirring and watching constantly to avoid scorching. Cook to soft ball stage (a small amount dropped into cold water stays in firm ball). Pour over popped corn, stirring constantly. Turn out onto counter to cool. Break up and store in bags or airtight containers.
