Backyard Plane Spotting ✈ Ardmore & Auckland Traffic

Welcome to (finally) another Backyard Plane Spotting video! All the lockdowns & alert levels due to COVID-19 kept the skies pretty much empty in the past months - so it took me a while to gather enough footage for a compilation. But, here it is! Again, lots of helicopters, a DC-3, an Antonov AN-124, Warbirds and some AKL traffic too, like Aerolíneas Argentinas and Qantas. Oh, and the intense sound of a Huey! Yes, just the sound - you'll see. 🤪 A lot of warbirds and helicopters in this video are based at Ardmore Airport, just a ten minute drive from here. If you want me to go out and do a day of spotting there, let me know! Also based at Ardmore are Betsy, the DC-3 (ZK-DAK) and New Zealand's only airworthy Catalina (ZK-PBY)!
