Augusto Almeida 📖 Biblical Reading: Haggai 2:1-9 2:1 In the second year of the reign of Darius, in the seventh month, on the twenty-first day of the month, the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai, saying: 2:2 “Speak now to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying: 2:3 Who among you is left who saw this temple in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Is it not as nothing in your eyes? 2:4 But now the LORD says: Be strong, Zerubbabel! Be strong, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest! And you, all you people of the land, be strong, declares the Lord, and work, for I am with you, declares the Lord Almighty. 2:5 According to the covenant I made with you when you came out of Egypt, my Spirit remains among you.
