Rain Date

It's my pleasure to be here with a new video featuring this amazing guitar by luthier extraordinaire Tom Ribbecke of Healdsburg, CA. In this piece I've titled "Rain Date", I explore some of the darker emotional layers this instrument is capable of producing. I've been working with Tom's compliant rim technology for the past couple of years, but this new (just a few weeks old) instrument takes the innovation further with a second compliant rim on the back side. Hence, the name of this guitar is the "DCR Sadie" for Double Compliant Rim and the now immortalized image of Tom's golden retriever, Sadie, as rendered by Larry Robinson of Robinson Custom Inlays.
