Die Fachhochschule Potsdam ist eine junge Hochschule. Sie wurde 1991 gegründet und zählt derzeit ca. 3.000 Studierende in 22 Studiengängen. Das Fächerspektrum umfasst ingenieurwissenschaftliche, soziokulturelle und gestalterische Studiengänge, deren gemeinsame Schnittmengen in den Themenfeldern: „Kommunikationsgestaltung und Wissensmanagement"", „Europäische Bau- und Kulturlandschaft"", Soziale und kulturelle Gestaltung der Gesellschaft"" und „Kreativwirtschaft als Wachstumsfaktor"" liegen. Lehre und Studium an der Fachhochschule Potsdam zeichnen sich aus durch die Nähe zwischen Lehrenden und Lernenden, projektorientiertes Arbeiten und die Einbindung von Studierenden in Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekte.
