First Time Learning How to Install a Japanese Knife Handle with a Yoshikane SKD Extra Tall Gyuto
Well, this was a learning experience. Was it the best way to install a handle? Probably not. Still, it was an experience nonetheless. Next time, I'll use a better torch and add more hot glue pellets. Mr. B also told me that silicone caulk is used to seal the handle at the tang, which I intend to do once I'm back in the studio next week after the family vacation. I'd love your constructive feedback (aside from a better torch). Two big things about this channel are 1) sharing the growing pains and 2) learning from y'all! Yoshikane SKD Extra Tall Nashiji Gyuto: https://cutleryandmore.com/products/y... The extra tall Yoshikanes only come once a year and sell out fast. So, if you come across one, get it while you can. Even if it's not from us! Happy Handle Installing
