INMOTION P6 meets NYC | Demo & First Impressions

Join me for an exclusive first-look, behind-the-scenes demo of the brand-new InMotion P6 electric unicycle, held at a private event in New York. I was one of a handful of invitees tasked to test the limits of this next-gen EUC at Ai Rides. A big thank you to Albert and Christine from Inmotion for making this happen, and Sam for offering his repair shop as the location for hosting the demo. While we waited our turn, we examined its metal body, dense nylon bumpers, metal pedals with lips for acceleration, talked about its build quality, and explored its innovative features. The charger, USB-A and USB-C ports, headlight, display—everything looked premium and refined. Stepping on the wheel, I was floored by the suspension. Despite the one standard spring size, the P6's suspension felt plush, smooth, and better than any other EUC I have ever tried (and my daily driver was the Sherman L). Across testers weighing from 150 lbs to 300 lbs, the suspension never bottomed out. The wheel accelerated with a kind of effortless power: even under worst-case conditions. Riders were able to reached 66 mph at 30% battery, and I was personally able to push the wheel to 46 mph at just 18% battery. The P6 had this density to it, packing the most performance in the smallest package—lean, with nothing superfluous. It’s not as if the P6’s quality comes from some revolutionary component that eludes the other manufacturers. What sets it apart is the intelligence and precision of the integration of software and hardware. The fine-tuning sheds inefficiencies from the system to squeeze out every bit of available performance. That’s what allows the P6 to deliver the most refined and powerful riding experience. Enjoy!
