Some 1/2-inch torque wrenches offer a wide measuring range. You don't necessarily need to buy three 1/2-inch, 3/8-inch, and 1/4-inch wrenches. While it's more expensive to buy three, it offers significant space savings. The torque wrench doesn't stop tightening no matter how much force you apply once you hear the clicking sound. You need to stop yourself when you hear it. Applying enough force to produce a clicking sound will tighten the screw to a higher value than the preset value.
