TikTok Influencer Gabbie Gonzalez Charged in Jack Avery Murder Plot

In May 2026, Los Angeles County prosecutors charged TikTok influencer Gabriela "Gabbie" Gonzalez, her father Francisco Gonzalez, and her then-boyfriend Kai Cordrey with plotting to murder singer Jack Avery. According to the District Attorney’s Office, between 2020 and 2021 the trio attempted to hire a hitman on the dark web amid a bitter custody dispute over their 7-year-old daughter. Prosecutors allege they paid $10,000–$14,000 and requested proof of death — Avery’s severed finger with his jewelry still on it. The supposed hitman was an undercover FBI agent. All three face one count each of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and solicitation of murder.
