"I was shattered by what I saw in Gaza," she reckons, lamenting the social collapse following months of conflicts. Spoljaric underlines ICRC's neutrality principle and its strict adherence to the common objective of international human rights law and international humanitarian law. Its mission is to protect the lives and dignity of all human beings and find a pathway back to peace and development, she notes.
