He requested assistance in the case of a young girl who was found hanged from a tree on September 4, 1990, in Portbou, Spain, a town on the border between Catalonia and France. At the time, the police were certain: suicide. But Porta has his doubts. Was it a cold-blooded murder of the approximately 25-year-old woman? He investigates and comes across the police report.
