Gainesville community fosters every single animal in Humane Society after wildfire evacuations
Franziska Raeber pulled into the Humane Society with one thing on her mind Sunday afternoon. “Our babies needed to be safe,” Raeber recalled. “Dinner will always be around, I need to go now to make sure my animals will be safe.” She had just learned that a 60-acre wildfire was spreading less than a mile from the Humane Society of North Central Florida, where 40 dogs and 18 cats lived. Evacuation orders went out around 3 p.m. X: https://x.com/morlandoTV Email: [email protected]
