I don’t know about you, but I view theme parks are usually a summer staple. The heat goes up and people flock to these things. I never got the appeal of standing in the sun in a queue next to someone whose Speed Stick slowed down three hours ago, waiting nearly an hour because everyone bought the Fast pass. Rides are essentially paying for the privilege of triggering some fight-or-flight-inducing experience that lasts all of twenty seconds. And to add insult to injury, they photograph you at your most vulnerable...bug-eyed, mouth agape, looking like your soul is leaving your body. So yeah, I’m a killjoy on that one. You should see me at parties.
