Returning to Waihi Beach, where I used to live, I was greeted by mist and heavy rain. I'd hoped to spend the time on the beach in the sun, but the grey weather cast a pall over the place. It made me remember how moody and isolating it can be when everyone is stuck indoors and the streets and beach are empty. This song tries to capture a little of that atmosphere.
