Les temps de l'être

For centuries, time has been central to human concerns. Indeed, humans live within time, for a limited time, a finite time, as Heidegger would say. But the complexity of time leads us to question its psychological reality. Does time exist? Is it merely an illusion? The aim of this conference is to define psychological time by presenting its various facets. Recent research on the perception of time passing more or less quickly and on the judgment of time will also be presented. Emphasis will be placed on the temporal distortions caused by our emotions and the influence of our awareness of being subject to these distortions on our own temporal judgments.
