Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz – author of The Career of Nicodemus Dyzma, the most popular writer of Sanation-era Poland – died tragically in September 1939. He was a critic of Piłsudski’s camp, a victim of a brutal beating, and his novels faithfully depicted the realities of the Second Polish Republic.
