The instrument allows for the on-site measurement of the I-V characteristic and the main characteristic parameters of both a single module and strings of modules for PV installations up to a maximum of 1000V and 10A. The acquired data is then processed and translated to reference conditions (STC) so that it can be compared with the nominal data declared by the module manufacturer. Comparing the measured data with the nominal data allows for an immediate determination of whether the string or module complies with the construction parameters declared by the manufacturer. The I-V curve measurement can also be achieved by decentralizing the irradiance and temperature measurements using the optional SOLAR-02 remote unit, leveraging the radio frequency (RF) connection to the master unit.
