During the Renaissance, its enormous fleet made the Netherlands the financial and scientific center of the world. Almost all the coasts of Africa, America, and Asia were dominated by Dutch trading posts. The Dutch, on the other hand, claimed the title of world monopolist in trade. Yes, such a rich history influences the current economic situation of the Netherlands, and it's truly a good one, because It ranks very high, at 7th place, among the largest economies in Europe, with a GDP of USD 826.2 billion.
