The Javakheti Plateau is an often unexplored region of southern Georgia, where some tourism is just starting to develop. In today’s video, we go very far off the beaten path to some of southern Georgia’s less-touristed areas near the border with Armenia, including the Bugdasheni Nature Reserve, the Madatapa Lake, and the Beshtasheni Canyon. In each of these places, we questioned whether we were in the right place and found no one but animals, nature, and gentle breezes. We also make a trip to the Dashbashi Canyon, choosing to avoid the overcommercialized glass bridge to find a secret, free village-centered viewpoint of the magnificent canyon and waterfall!
