Pristine 1960s Otis lift in Hong Kong

Location: Hang Shun Building, 10-12 Wyndham Street, Central, Hong Kong A very well-maintained 1960s Otis DC-driven lift in a small commercial building. This one uses the older black buttons made out of bakelite. All lamps on the indicators work, buttons in excellent condition and it runs smoothly. It also moves relatively quick between floors. Though modern buildings nowadays would have lifts with similar speeds for the number of floors, none of them hold a candle to this old Otis, in terms of efficiency and build quality. Also, notice how the indicator comes back to life after the call button is pressed at the start of the video - even these 60s Otis lifts have power saving features incorporated into them! Due to improper maintenance, you rarely see this feature working anymore on these old Otis lifts. Also features a ride with the fan and lights off at the end of the video.
