Video Tour of the Medieval Dungeons Political scientist Andreas Clemens takes visitors on a tour of the medieval dungeons in the cellar of Nuremberg's historic town hall. Which criminals were imprisoned here? What was the "painful interrogation" all about? Who was responsible for the operation of the dungeons? These topics are explained during the tour, along with the legal system of the old imperial city, the conditions of imprisonment, and the significance and ingredients of a last meal. The tour lasts approximately 35 minutes and provides insight into the conditions of the medieval prison and the imperial city's legal system. Important note: A visit to the medieval dungeons is only possible as part of a guided tour.
